Today we're pleased to announce the immediate availability of kareebu Secure 1.0.2, containing the following enhancements:
- Joomla! 1.6, 1.7 & 2.5 Compatibility
- When running PHP in CGI mode, an error is now thrown instead of using HTTP Authentication (which will likely not work)
- Solved a bug that would break HTTP Authentication
Working on a new extension and there might be an update to kareebu Secure as soon as possible :-)
... from the JED. We've searched them all and we're not happy. Maybe because that's from a programmer's point of view, but I do think that we can make a better extension. And by "we" I mean kareebu and the users. Yes, all kareebu users will participate in our own projects and of course, be rewarded for their work. As soon as "Project 2" will be launched you'll know what I'm talking about.
Let me tell you a little secret: kareebu was supposed to be just one project. It now evolved into three very different projects. One is a non-commercial security plugin and the other two will be commercial - both will be tied up together in a way.
Project 1 is already planned completely and the development is already under way. This is the initial project for kareebu and I'm telling you, everybody is going to love it. It's going to be huge.
Project 2 started because we think there is potential there that it's not used as it should be. Everybody started their own extension but abandoned it along the way. Most extensions of this category do not install correctly, have coding/spelling errors or have missing features (that were supposed to work or at least exist, out of common sense).
More information will be disclosed as soon as possible :-)
Hello everyone!
We're very happy now that the website is up and functional. Sure, there are a few things that we still need to tweak but basically our users can download and get the information they want with ease.
Now we can concentrate on our upcoming extension. We'll give you a hint: it's going to be huge :-)

Well, at least the blog is up.
PS: half a blog - we still need to decide on a commenting extension. Thank God for the JED!
